WHO WE ARE

Fiabci is the french acronym for the International Real Estate Federation. The Federation originated in Paris and is still headquartered there.

It is a worldwide network with 60 member countries and 115 different national professional real estate associations. Fiabci links 1.5 million real estate professionals worldwide representing every discipline in the industry.

The International Real Estate Federation has been benefiting its members for over 50 years and has built an excellent reputation in international real estate.

The Federation is not political and is truly democratic. It is advisor to bodies such as the UN, the EU, NAFTA and MERCOSUR.

The Federation is multi-discliplinary and represents surveyors, financiers, brokers, lawyers, architects, counsellors, accountants, builders, insurers and investors.

It represents all sectors of real estate including commercial, residential, office, leisure, retail, industrial and agricultural together with their subdivisions.

The Federation has five official languages. English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Simultaneous translations are provided at the world congress and business days each year.

IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

The board of Fiabci-UK have worked hard to grow the chapter and has suceeded in obtaining sponsorship and assistance for its events from organisations such as HSBC DLAPiper, AON , PriceWaterhouseCoopers , IPD, IPF, Property Week, IPE Real Estate, RICS, NAEA, Madison Marquette and others.

Fiabci-UK has four lunches every year with high profile international speakers and also organises a major annual global real estate conference with Wall Street Journal and Property Week. It undertakes seminars with organisations such as IPF.

MIPIM AND PRIX D'EXCELLENCE AWARDS

At MIPIM in Cannes every year in March the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence is awarded and recognizes the project that best embodies excellence in all real estate disciplines.

There are seven worldwide categories in leisure, office/industrial, public sector, residential, retail, specialised property and social housing. The winners are entitled to use the exclusive award logo and gives them access to international platforms around the world. To apply please go to fiabci.com.

During MIPIM within the exhibition is the internation contact centre which provides a focus for fiabci members at the event. It enables members to meet prospective clients and other organisations without the expense of booking meeting rooms.
